Tour of the White House

Mike and I toured the White House this morning and as Kiley Murphy said, it was kind of a let down. The parts they let us see are very beautiful, but we did not get to see the famous spots. Like the Lincoln Bedroom and the Oval Office, I would have liked to see the dining room also. We saw theGreen Room, the Red Room, the Blue Room and some hall ways, A reception room looked like it could be a ball room. There were paintings of all the Presidents and some of the first Ladies....yes Hilary is there.Security was amazing, secret service people in every room. I cannot imagine what the White House pays for all these guys standing around. It is sad it has to be that way. That is actually one of the things I am noticing around here almost every place has security people of some kind or another just hanging around, what a boring job, and you would not want it to get exciting. The clerks in the stores I've been in are bored to death too.

The humidity is 90% today, feels very muggy, I wonder if it lessens as it gets hotter or get worse? I am already having to do laundry as we sweat so much when we are moving about. The air conditioning is good in our room tho, so that is good.

Denise,
This is so exciting that you get this opportunity to learn DC! I'm happy you are doing a blog and I will enjoy following you around. :)
